Nekomusume (Gegege No Kitarou 6) Rule 34

Nekomusume is a recurring character in the Gegege no Kitarou franchise, a yokai with feline traits who often appears alongside Kitarou and other supernatural beings. In the sixth anime adaptation, she is presented as a tall, mature woman with short purple hair and blue eyes, a notable departure from earlier designs that gave her red hair and a smaller stature. She is typically depicted as confident, playful, and somewhat mischievous, sometimes acting as an ally or a foil to the main cast. Fan artists are drawn to her striking silhouette, her expressive face, and the contrast between her humanlike appearance and her yokai nature. Common motifs in fan art include her interactions with other characters such as Backbeard and Inuyama Mana, as well as more imaginative or exaggerated scenarios that emphasise her supernatural abilities and physicality. Her distinctive look and personality make her a popular subject for both solo and group illustrations.
