Tendou Akane is a central character in the Ranma 1/2 series, one of the daughters of the Tendou family and the fiancée of Saotome Ranma through an arranged engagement. She is a martial artist who trains seriously and is known for her strong sense of justice and her quick temper, especially where Ranma is concerned. Her appearance is defined by short dark hair, often shown with a blue tint in the anime, usually styled with a single braid, and brown eyes; she keeps her hair short after it is cut during an early story.
