Samus Aran is the central protagonist of the Metroid video game series. She is a bounty hunter who has repeatedly saved the galaxy from threats such as the Metroids, Phazon, and the X Parasites. Raised by the Chozo after a Space Pirate attack, she was infused with their DNA and trained as a warrior. She later served in the Galactic Federation Army under Adam Malkovich, but left to become an independent bounty hunter. Samus is most recognizable in her Chozo Power Suit, which includes an arm cannon and an assault visor, and enhances her abilities. The suit can assimilate technology to upgrade itself.
