Amatsukaze is a character from the Kantai Collection series, where she is the personification of the Japanese destroyer Amatsukaze. She has long white or grey hair styled in a two side up arrangement, with windsock-like hair tubes. Her default outfit includes a brown short sailor dress with a white sailor collar, a grey neckerchief with a lifebuoy clip, a black mini hat shaped like a funnel, a black choker, a single white glove on her right hand, red thighhighs with garter straps, and red high heels. Her rigging features a Rensouhou-kun on a bow hull piece and quad torpedo tubes on her back. In terms of personality, she is often depicted as a tsundere, gradually warming up to the Admiral. As the historical Amatsukaze was a testbed for Shimakaze's turbines, she is considered an elder sister figure to Shimakaze. Fan artists frequently focus on her distinctive hairstyle, her tsundere traits, and her relationship with other destroyers, especially those in the 16th Destroyer Division.
